AI Now Fills Out MFC Application Forms in Moscow Region

Neural networks have started filling out applications for popular services at Moscow Region's MFC public service centers on their own, according to Nadezhda Kurtyanik, the region's minister of state administration, information technology and communications.

The new AI service is already running in every office across the region for in-demand services, from issuing passports to registering SNILS insurance numbers. Staff no longer have to enter data from documents by hand - the AI handles that task, which the ministry says reduces the risk of accidental typos and errors.

The system covers initial document processing for internal and five-year foreign passports, SNILS registration, and confirmation of citizenship for children under 14.

The AI is built into employees' work software: an operator scans the applicant's document, the neural network reads it, identifies its type and automatically enters all the data - surname, first name, series and number - into the required fields of the application form. The MFC specialist only has to check that everything is filled in correctly and send the document on to the relevant agency.
