AI-Powered Assistant Aids Moscow Region Doctors with 1.7 Million Diagnoses

In a significant milestone for the Moscow region's healthcare system, an AI-powered assistant has helped doctors make over 1.7 million diagnoses since its launch in February. The assistant, known as AIDA, uses artificial intelligence to analyze patient complaints, medical histories, and diagnostic results to suggest possible diagnoses. According to Maxim Zabelin, Deputy Chairman of the Moscow Region Government and Minister of Health, AIDA has been a valuable tool for healthcare professionals, providing support in diagnosing 95 socially significant conditions. The system works in tandem with doctors, analyzing electronic medical records and providing its own diagnosis, which can either confirm or contradict the doctor's assessment. Ultimately, the final decision on diagnosis and treatment remains with the medical specialist. Zabelin emphasized the region's commitment to developing AI in healthcare, with AIDA being just one example of the innovative technologies being implemented to improve patient care. Other initiatives include a robot named Svetlana and a service for interpreting medical tests, all designed to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of healthcare services in the Moscow region.
