AI Puts Routine Jobs at Risk, but Salaries Not Yet Falling, Expert Says

Artificial intelligence is shifting the cost of individual tasks but has not yet caused a sharp drop in wages, according to Anastasia Gorelkina, a board member at SDS holding company, speaking to the Prime agency.

The main threat targets workers doing routine operations: drafting standard texts, data processing, simple translations, and report compilation. Gorelkina lists junior copywriters, content managers, first-line support operators, marketing assistants, product-card specialists, novice designers, translators of straightforward materials, and employees handling large volumes of similar information as those in the risk zone.

Neural networks can generate drafts, product descriptions, or idea lists in seconds, lowering business process costs. However, labor market pressure will show less in salary cuts and more in rising expectations-employers will demand more output for the same pay, especially in freelancing and mass service roles.

In the long run, those who use AI as a productivity tool will benefit. Their value will hinge on setting tasks, checking results, and fixing errors, turning raw data into quality material, the expert concludes.

The assessment comes as companies increasingly adopt AI tools, though broad wage impacts remain unproven.
