Lightspeed and Meta Bridge the Gap Between Store Sales and Social Ads
July 27, 2026

Lightspeed Commerce is rolling out a new tool that lets physical retailers finally see how their Facebook and Instagram ads translate into in-store purchases. The Canadian point-of-sale company, which serves businesses across retail, golf, and hospitality in over 100 countries, has launched an interface it calls Lightspeed with Meta Conversions API. The idea is straightforward: connect the dots between digital marketing and real-world sales.

Many physical store owners know online ads drive foot traffic but have struggled to measure the actual impact. "Retailers have always known that online ads influence what happens inside their stores, but they didn’t necessarily have a clear way to measure it," said Dax Dasilva, Lightspeed’s founder and CEO. "With this integration, we’re finally closing that gap." The system automates the process, syncing in-store product catalogs and point-of-sale transaction data directly to Meta. No spreadsheets or manual exporting required.

For retailers without an e-commerce presence, this is a game-changer. They can now run targeted campaigns on Facebook and Instagram, promote in-stock items, retarget local customers, and track how many sales come from each ad. Omnichannel merchants already advertising on Meta also get sharper campaign reporting, with AI optimizing ads based on cross-channel revenue. Clients like luxury menswear brand Todd Snyder and lifestyle label Cynthia Rowley are among those already using Lightspeed. The integration gives small and midsize shops access to attribution intelligence that was once reserved for big e-commerce players.
