Moscow’s AI Revolution: Over 60 Medical Services Now Aid Doctors in Diagnosing Disease

More than 60 artificial intelligence services are now helping Moscow’s doctors spot early signs of illness across 43 clinical fields, according to Maxim Oreshkin, deputy chief of the Russian presidential administration. Speaking Saturday at the World Organization for Cooperation in Artificial Intelligence high-level meeting in Shanghai, Oreshkin said the real value of technology lies not in labs or presentations, but in helping doctors diagnose faster and more accurately.

Oreshkin, who is leading Russia’s delegation at the World AI Conference running through July 20, noted that Russian companies are already deploying intelligent video analytics, drone systems, and “smart city” projects in dozens of countries. In Moscow, these AI tools are shifting medicine from a reactive model to a proactive health management system, he explained. The delegation includes Digital Development Minister Maksut Shadayev and officials from the Foreign Ministry, Economic Development Ministry, and leading domestic AI firms.

The AI services enable earlier detection of diseases, quicker and more effective clinical decisions, and ultimately improve quality of life, Oreshkin added. By combining platform solutions with AI, the city is moving beyond traditional healthcare toward a system that manages people’s health over the long term. The conference in Shanghai runs from July 17 to 20, bringing together global leaders in artificial intelligence.
