Paris Startup Hub Station F Doubles Down on AI Accelerator to Fast-Track European Founders

Station F, the sprawling Parisian startup campus founded by billionaire Xavier Niel, is launching a second round of its F/ai accelerator this September, aiming to push a select group of AI startups from prototype to paying customers within months. The 538,000-square-foot hub has long been a fixture of France’s tech scene, but director Roxanne Varza says its real value goes beyond the open floor plan and free coffee.

The program’s first cohort, which ran earlier this year, already produced standout winners like Alpic and Rippletide, and collectively raised $34 million in pre-seed funding. Varza says the accelerator’s main goal is revenue: each team is expected to hit €1 million within six months. “We heard a lot of criticism about how slowly European startups commercialize,” she notes. “This puts them on par with what U.S. investors expect.” Backed by heavyweights including OpenAI, Google, Meta, and Mistral AI, the second cohort adds Eleven Labs, GitHub, and HubSpot to its roster of partners.

Station F’s influence extends beyond the accelerator. Its annual Future 40 list highlights the most promising startups among the 1,000 it hosts each year, and the hub has taken equity stakes in those companies since 2022. The campus has also become a regular stop for political leaders—President Macron has visited 11 times since 2017—and has hosted AI figures like Sam Altman and Yann LeCun. Varza says the goal is to show founders they don’t need to move to Silicon Valley to connect with top talent. “If they want to speak to people at this level, they think they have to go to the U.S. We want to show they can do it from here.”
